The NCA amended its exam cancellation policy in November 2016.

The new policy requires that NCA exams must be cancelled “no later than the day before the exam is scheduled to take place.” In other words, applicants are no longer permitted to cancel an exam on the date it is scheduled to occur.

Failure to cancel by the required date will not count as an attempt, but it will result in the forfeiture of the exam fees for that sitting.

Therefore, if you wish to receive a refund for a cancelled exam (less an administrative fee), be sure to submit your request using the NCA Portal “no later than the day before the exam is scheduled to take place.
